General Terms of Business
Registration
With the registration the contractual partner confirms that he has taken note of these general terms and conditions of business. With your registration you guarantee that the course will be paid by you, your company or a third party. The School is exempt from VAT.
Participants per group
The group minimum is 3 participants, the group maximum is 6 participants. Company in-house groups decide the size of their groups on their own.
Costs
We have no registration fee except for course confirmations regarding VISA registrations.
The listed prices of our course programs are binding. Teaching materials and examination fees for certificates of the Goethe Institute which are not explicitly part of the school fees are also charged to the course participant.
Course confirmation for Visa purposes
We are happy to provide a course confirmation for Visa purposes if you need one. The enrollment confirmations for a language course, which go to the Swiss authorities, can be issued once the student has confirmed his/her participation by mail and an enrollment fee of CHF 110.— has been paid. This deposit will be deducted from the course costs when the student starts the course.
Invoice
After receiving the registration, the school will send the student an invoice. For participants of the evening group courses, the invoice is payable in advance before the start of the course. For all other courses the invoice is payable within 10 days after receiving the invoice. Teaching materials are handed on the first lesson.
Instalments
The number of possible instalments is regulated by the school individually. If the school fee is paid in instalments, the 1st instalment is due at the beginning of the lessons. The last instalment shall be paid before the course ends.
Procedure
The school is entitled to cancel courses that are listed in the program if the number of participants is too small.
If a course is cancelled by the school, the school fee already paid shall be repaid in full. In the unforeseen event of a teacher having to drop out, the school may cancel the course unless a substitute teacher with equivalent qualifications is available.
Holidays and teaching-free days comply with the students or groups wishes.
Conditions of cancellation Private students
A lesson may be cancelled at any time up to 17:00 on the day before. Cancellations for Monday lessons, however, must be made before 17:00 on the previous Friday. The teacher may be contacted directly, or you may contact the school (044 201 56 00) if the teacher cannot be reached. Please use the Swissing answer machine. Cancellations by email or message are only valid, if they are confirmed by the school or by the teacher. Any cancellations after 17:00 on the day prior to the scheduled lesson or Fridays will be billed. In case of late arrival, the teacher will wait for the student(s) for half of the scheduled lesson time.
Group students
The same rules are applied. But the cancellation of a group lesson requires the consent of the whole group. If a single student misses a lesson, he or she will lose this lesson.
Missed lessons or early break off of a course by the student
Group courses: The lessons take place regularly. There is no refund for missed lessons or early break off of a single group participant, regardless of the reason.
Private lessons: Remaining lessons of a booked course package can be taken by another person of the student’s choice or will be paid back, minus a 20% of the price of
the remaining lessons.
Refund policy for lesson credit
The lesson credit is valid for three years for language lessons – after that it expires. The equivalent value of the lesson credit can also be transferred to a third party within this period. In addition, the entire lesson credit can be refunded within the first 6 months, minus a processing fee of CHF 100.
If a student has already started lessons with Swissing AG, we will refund the remaining amount minus 20% for administrative fees. Please note that the remaining lessons of an ongoing group course will not be refunded.

The school expressly reserves the right to make program updates and amendments to regulations.
Insurance
Health, accident and third party liability insurance are the sole responsibility of the course participants.
